The education and outreach program at Rensselaer's NSF Center for Directed Assembly of Nanostructures has been focusing on K-12 science education. Through a partnership with a local High School and General Electric, 5 high school teachers developed new teaching modules on nanotechnology and supplementary teaching materials. These modules were incorporated into existing courses and make us of nanoscale analysis tools, such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM)......
